Tussah Tweed is a light-fingering weight silk yarn from BC Garn. Known as cruelty-free silk, Tussah Tweed is spun from the cocoons wild butterflies have left behind.  These cocoons are made into silk which gives the beautiful tweed nubs. Knitting with Tussah Tweed creates the most interesting textured stitches. Ideal for shawls and summer tops.

Tussah Tweed is very stable and feels a bit rough initially but it gets softer and softer when you wash and wear it.
